Q1: Overview of business

Backed by more than 64-years' experience, Cargo Carriers is southern Africa's leading provider of supply chain and transport logistics solutions. Our adaptability and technological prowess enable us to offer expert advice and service in the following industries: Chemicals & Steel; Fuel & Powders; Mining & Gas; Agriculture; Supply Chain and Warehousing services.

Cargo Carriers purchased its first Mercedes-Benz LS 315 in 1956 (aka No 1) - the first vehicle in the Cargo Carriers fleet. This vehicle retired in style on 28 May 1968 clocking up over a million miles.

The Cargo Carriers / Mercedes-Benz relationship spans over nearly 67 years and in 2010 Cargo Carriers was Mercedes-Benz' biggest customer.

Of recent, a few issues experienced with dealers in terms of uptime and spares availability but overall good, reliable and safe vehicles with solid after sales support through country wide dealer support.

Going forward, we continue to expand our relationship with Mercedes-Benz in 2023 as we have some exciting projects we are busy with and we have an asset replacement program that we strictly follow.
