Van Gess Transport Story
Q1: Overview of business
Van Gess Transport was first established in 1954 by Hjalmar van Gessellen (Snr.) and has since been owned and run by the Van Gessellen family. In 1970 Joseph A.D. van Gessellen took over from his dad and continued building on a proud tradition, grooming his two sons to follow in his footsteps.
Sadly he had passed away in early 2012, but left behind a legacy in the transport industry. The company is currently owned and run by the third generation in Hjalmar and Ernst van Gessellen who are the current directors and managers. Hjalmar van Gessellen has been working and managing operations at the company since 1994.
Ernst van Gessellen joined the company in 2011 and manages loads and operations. Van Gess Transport CC. prides itself on a reputation of excellent personalised and honest service to the industry which has been passed down from generation to generation with dependable trucks empowering us.
