Mercedes-benz Trucks Reaffirms Its Standing And Prominence In Southern Africa

n one of its largest fleet deals, facilitated and completed through its dealership, Cargo Commercial Vehicles Airport (CCVA) in November 2022. Mercedes-Benz Trucks is thrilled to have handed over a considerable fleet of 104 Mercedes-Benz Actros 2645LS/33 Euro V RE models to Imperial, a DP World Company, which is one of the largest logistics providers in Africa. The recently delivered cutting-edge fleet will play a significant role in the achievement of operational objectives within Imperial’s road freight business, and in helping to keep its fleet apace with technology, innovation, and improved efficiencies.

Commenting on the new fleet, Edwin Hewitt, CEO of Imperial’s Logistics Africa business: “The recent handover is a continuation of the long-standing partnership between Imperial and Mercedes-Benz Trucks. Not only does this fleet meet our stringent quality and safety standards, but also our requirement for on-time delivery and our commitment to making a contingency fleet available for the go-live of a recently acquired contract. We would like to commend Mercedes-Benz Trucks and its relevant dealership for ensuring that our requirements were met, despite challenging operating conditions affecting the supply chain and stock availability.
