As Cargo Carriers celebrates its 70th anniversary, Daimler Truck Southern Africa (DTSA) proudly joins in recognising this remarkable milestone. The occasion is made even more significant as Daimler Truck marks 130 years since the invention of the truck, a legacy that has helped shape the global transport industry and continues to drive mobility and economic growth around the world.

That enduring partnership is reflected in Cargo Carriers' continued investment in Mercedes-Benz Trucks. Most recently, the company added five Mercedes-Benz Actros 3352S/33 abnormal-load truck tractors to support its sugar cane operations. Each truck tractor pulls a combination of three spiller-bin trailers, with the combined mass of the truck tractor, trailers and payload exceeding 100 tons. The company also added ten Actros 2652LS/33 units with fuel specification trailing equipment, as well as one Mercedes-Benz Arocs 3352L/54 to its fleet. In addition, DTSA's used vehicle division, TruckStore, supplied thirty-seven Mercedes-Benz trucks to Cargo Carriers subsidiary Heavy Hauliers in Zambia, comprising a mix of Actros 2652LS/33 Pure and Actros 2652LS/33 RE models, further extending the long-standing partnership beyond South Africa’s borders.
